This training is designed to help you have an increased understanding of the dynamics of power and control in intimate partner/domestic violence and the effects of teen dating violence. It will offer techniques to prevent dating violence.
The training will then explain what sex and labor trafficking are and how they work, including recruitment and grooming. This portion is designed to provide an understanding the dynamics of power and control in this relationships, and help you recognize human trafficking and its most vulnerable populations. Finally, the training will offer techiques for supporting students who are survivors of human trafficking.
This training will meet the following objectives:
- Viewers will have an increased understanding of the experience of students who are survivors of dating or intimate partner violence.
- Viewers will be able to identify and implement multiple ways of preventing dating violence.
- Viewers will have an increased understanding of the experience of students who are survivors of human trafficking.
- Viewers will be able to identify individuals who might be victims of trafficking.
- Viewers will be able to identify multiple ways that they can support survivors of human trafficking.
