This training is designed to help you have an increased understanding of the need to support LGBQT+ students, and will offer some techniques for supporting these students in schools.
 
This training will meet the following objectives:
Viewers will have an increased understanding of the need to support LGBQT+ students.
Viewers will have an increased understanding of the dispropotionate risks faced by students who are members of the LGBQT+ community
 
Note:  While this training does offer some techiques for supporting students who are members of the LGBQT+ community, it is primarily focused on developing a better understanding of the need that members of this community may have for additional support.  If you are looking for additional resources about how to provide such support in your school, an excellent resource is GLSEN's "Safe Space Kit."
